We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. The ring just kind of carried on from my original roughs where each giraffe had a feature that set them apart (e.g. one had a pink mohawk and others had various piercings).
The original brief was from the word 'Type'. I guess when i followed on to my final, it came too

Yeah this was done in my Derwent watercolor pencils (no water added).
It didn't scan well. I darkened it slightly in photoshop, but the original looks heaps better imo.

When i did my first roughs and came up with one of these guys as an original line drawing, i knew no matter what she said I was definitely doing one for the final product whether she liked it or not. Ha ha.
